Overview

As of December 31, 2020, our Hotel Division has a portfolio of 38 hotels and resorts across 15 countries including Bhutan, Italy, Maldives, Seychelles, South Africa and Vanuatu. Our hotels are operated under renowned hospitality brands such as COMO Hotels & Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Hard Rock Hotels, Hilton International, InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International, Six Senses Hotels & Resorts and Concorde Hotels.

Our most recent acquisition was Alpina Dolomites in February 2020. The luxurious 5-star hotel is located on one of Europe’s most beautiful and largest high-altitude plateau, the Alpe di Siusi - Seiser Alm and is nestled in the heart of nature with a spectacular view of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inspired by nature, Alpina Dolomites features an eco-friendly “living in harmony with nature” architectural design concept with buildings made from wood, stone, and glass in an aesthetically pleasant mix with cosy interiors; all built with a focus on ecological sustainability and harmoniously integrated within its natural environment.

Our Division’s other Italian hotel is in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Italy - COMO Castello del Nero, a 50-key 5-star hotel. Designed by the renowned Italian architect and designer Paola Navone, featuring Renaissance frescoes and contemporary design, this 12th century castle leaves nothing but memorable impressions for discerning guests amidst its expansive landscape of olive groves and vineyards within its 740-acre estate.

COMO Castello del Nero features a one-and-only spa experience where therapeutic sessions at COMO Shambhala Retreat are crafted for relaxation with ingredients from their very own estate, such as virgin olive oil and lavender, while surrounded by scenic beauty. Guests will also be pampered with a Michelin-starred dining experience at La Torre show casing with estate-to-table Tuscan produce.

From picturesque mountains and hills of Italy to the pristine Andaman seas is the Hotel Division’s other COMO property - COMO Point Yamu, Phuket. The luxury resort is located at the tip of Cape Yamu, sited on a cliff that overlooks the Andaman Sea with the dramatic limestones of Phang Nga Bay in a distance. Also designed by Paola Navone, COMO Point Yamu, Phuket offers an artistic expression of contemporary Thai luxury where blue and turquoise design accents its 27 private villas and 79 rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the spectacular views of the Andaman Sea.

In Sri Lanka, located in Weligama Bay is the 5-star Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa. The 198 key resort features spacious rooms and suites with indulgent bedding, marble bathrooms with oversized soaking tubs, and private balconies. Guests can indulge in and be captivated by the spectacular views of the pristine waters, lush nature, luxurious amenities, and superb services of the luxurious resort. They can choose to explore the nearby Galle Dutch Fort, Jungle Beach and Yala National Park or relax in the sparkling outdoor pool and pamper themselves at the famed Quan Spa.

Recognised by CNN in its list of “20 stunning new Asia Pacific luxury hotels to check into in 2020” is our InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort, the first property by InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in the Maldives.

The luxurious resort is nestled in one of the country’s most secluded spots of the Raa Atoll in the Indian Ocean and is a short boat ride away from one of Maldives’ UNESCO Biosphere Reserve - Hanifaru Bay, a protected sanctuary teeming with a rich array of marine life, most notably manta rays. Surrounded by crystal-clear blue oceans, powdery white sand and palm tree peppered terraces, discerning guests will be mesmerised by the resort’s natural beauty.

Our InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort features 81 overwater, beach and lagoon villas and for the ultimate “Maldivian” experience, guests can indulge in our 4,950 square feet ‘Three Bedroom Overwater Residence’, with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean.

True to its philosophy of being in harmony with the environment, Six Senses Laamu features 97 spacious thatched villas, all crafted from local and sustainable materials and carefully designed to harmonise with the outstanding natural beauty of the island while providing a high-level of privacy, cosiness, and comfort.

For the ultimate private retreat and indulgence, discerning guests will find it at our ultra-luxurious Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah, Baa Atoll. Built on a 5-acre private island with exotic jungle greenery, the tropical secluded haven is flanked by immaculate white powdery beaches and endless crystal-clear waters. Our 7-bedroom private-island Maldives resort is the world’s first exclusive-use UNESCO hideaway and has a dedicated island team of 25 staff as well as a private yacht.

In the Seychelles, our Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island is the only resort on a captivating coral island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The resort offers guests an encounter with untouched nature while providing a holistic experience that includes educational marine-diversity snorkel tours, private dive-trips and interactions with the Aldabra Giant Tortoise, a native species that is vulnerable to extinction at the resort’s Tortoise Sanctuary.

Located in the stunning Andaman Sea and just minutes by boat from the world-renowned mangroves of the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park is our Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. The multi-award-winning luxury resort combines artful design and all-pervading serenity with a wholesome connection to nature. Four Seasons Resort Langkawi is the epitome of a tranquil and luxurious getaway for the discerning traveller who loves and embraces nature where the surrounding dense rainforest marries pristine beaches in this nature-lover’s dream. To top it off, adjacent to the multi-award-winning luxury resort is the highlight of the UNESCO Geopark – an ecological wonderland of 550-million-year-old rock formations, precipitous rainforest, and deserted islands.
